Alias, Ilsa… :: 9:50

Filed under: Life in general

Mr. Block gave a hint and having completely forgotten his earlier sound advice on how one spells personal bankrupcy in Finish (Anttilan DVD-Ale), and I really did want the Alias boxes now that they were cheap.

Binge. No I don’t do this kind of a thing often, it is something I reserve to my wife who with good taste enlarges our collection. Only this time I did. I wen’t there to get Seasons I & II of Alias á 15. This I approved for my self beforehand. Only I hadn’t got a clue that there was a very large sale going on, and if there is a large box of DVD’s with price 5,95 I just can’t past it without looking what there is. This time there was a historical movie about Vlad Dracula. I promptly picked it and headed towards the counter where I knew that the boxes reside. Alias was to the right, but on left there was the Ilsa-box I’ve been contemplating for a while, at a low price… made the grab and looked for Alias. They had only seasons I and III and only I was on sale. Got it. I can get the other seasons later.

This left a bit hangoverish feeling, especially as when we both got home, we noticed there was a parcel in the postoffice. Rest of the night we spent watching a bit over two thirds of Battlestar Galactica miniseries. It is A S T O N I S H I N G. The props, the scenery, the story, the acting but especially the way they used sound and music in it. No I’ve seen Star Wars a few times, I’ve loved Starship Troopers as a movie. If there’s a scifi-flick out the odds are that I try to go and see it, or at least make the effort of seeing it on DVD but I’ve never felt like this watchin a space-battle and certainly the drums had something to do about it.

Bada boom, big bada boom…
