Foundlings :: 12:49

Found some theory base for my Pro Gradu. It is a bit dubious article that discusses the change in the information retrieval paradigm going on. At least there is some theory that I can use in arguing the program made and study under work. The theory argues that there is a big change going on in the ir as we are moving from information processing into information interaction. This is a good base to build the study from and reflect against.

This was brilliant. Occasionaly some people just write great articles, even of this subject.

This was funny.

Found that one rpg writer, a brilliant one at that, also keeps a blog.

Found some DVDs lately, Anttila had a while back that Alias Season 1 or 2 at 15 eb sale wich ran out of stock, then they restocked from somewhere and some time ago I got my season 2, promptly bought it. Later in Gigantti found G.I. Jane, let’s say I got it as studymaterial on nasty military training. Viggo Mortensen was great as a training Master Chief and the movie gave great emotional moves to use in rpgs, especially that I have yet another OCS located game going. Also extended our collectiong of musicals with Some like it hot. All of the Gigantti DVD-binge started on Sin City - special box at very reasonable price. I love the graphic novels and the movie wasn’t bad when seen in the theater. Mr. Block warned that this special cut doesn’t work as well as a movie than the original theater version, but I still wanted it. M didn’t object ;)

Heguli who is our office Jukebox opeartor, had found a collection of Spanish Guitar, ie. latino and flamenco style guitar instrumentals that I’ve been listening lately. Now playing though is Johny Cash, guess inspired by the movie.

I’ve found a new crafts project. I’m currently studying technique and patterns of Elizabethan yarn covered buttons. Picking up new stuff seems to happen more and more these days.

This morning I found new muscles. This seems to relate to last night that we spent with a nice family, um sporting, would you believe.

Now I’d need to find a way to solve a social problem, but before everything else I’d need to find the vision and motivation to design by code the next thing I’m currently working on…
